Valerian has been used medicinally since the time of ancient Greece. This herb is well known for its ability to ease insomnia and night waking. Valerian is also useful as a pain reliever, effectively treating muscle cramps, headaches and menstrual pain. An important herb to have in your first aid kit for sure!**

We harvest our Valerian root in the fall after its 3rd year of growth. This makes for rich, potent medicine and gives us growers a big dose of patience.

Suggested Use: Shake well. Take 40-60 drops in water 30 minutes before bed or up to 3 times a day for pain relief.

Contraindication: Some people have the opposite reaction to Valerian and become stimulated. If this is your first time taking Valerian, take a 1/2 dose during the day to make sure of it’s effect.
